Crazy Stuff

Sometimes you are lucky and you catch some unbelievable stuff on camera.

While on Palmyra, Lori Richardson and I saw this eel catching a crab. We heard splashing behind a large log and when we looked over we thought a crab had caught a snake! Lori had the presence of mind to pull out her video to catch the action. Good thing she did, because no one believed us when we got back to camp (and it was before happy hour too).

In South Africa we saw these wild dogs take on a hyena. Just as the action started Scott realized that he was running our of tape! Pretty bold move for the dogs since the hyena could crush their heads in his mouth. We were so relieved that the animals didn’t end up in the truck with us!

In Namibia we were hiking a trail at Serra Cafema, and someone spotted this snake halfway through his lunch. We had to be careful not to scare the snake or he would have thrown up his hard-earned meal and run off.
